Cofete

0
These people in the picture are the only ones on a beach more than 12 km long. Cofete is the best example of a deserted beach. Only accessible from the touristic areas of Fuerteventura in the Jandia peninsula by an unpaved road that crosses over a mountain chain, windy and exposed to the currents and high waves of the west coast, those coming here are looking for the peace and quietness of this unspoiled place.

La Graciosa: a deserted island in the Canaries

0
Not only are seven Canary Islands. You have to take into account several other islets and small islands, of which La Graciosa is the biggest one. It is located north of Lanzarote, only separated by a narrow channel locally known as "El Rio" (the river).

Puerto Muelas

0
The last of Papagayo beaches  but close to a parking lot and what apparently is a caravan campsite (although it was alwasy closed when I was there). Quite small and full of people, not the best beach in the area.

Falassarna

0
One of the few sandy beaches on the west coast in Crete. The area is quite isolated, touristically developed enough to allow to sleep there, but not so much. There are only small hotels and appartments, mainly in the north side. The beach is very long, with different areas for nudists and textiles.

On the east coast of Lanzarote, this beach is very popular among nudists. It can be overcrowed some days, but you also feel out of this world, as in the other Papagayo beaches.

My favourite beach in Papagayo. Few people, quiet place, golden sand, espectacular views... I would only ask for some shade, but you can`t have it all...

Coves in Papagayo

0
Several little coves are interspersed between the Papagayo beaches. The biggest ones are Caleton de Cobre and Caleton de San Marcial, but there are more. All of them are surrounded by cliffs and can only be reached crossing the rocks on the shore.

Playa Mujeres

The first of the Papagayo beaches from Playa Blanca, and the most accessible from the parking lot. Logically, it is the one where moro visitors. In spite of that, it is so large that there is a place for everybody. Nudists on the east end, textiles in the rest of the beach.

Papagayo: the nudist corner in Lanzarote

0
In fact, there is only one beach called Papagayo in Lanzarote, but the name is commonly given to the group of beaches in the natural park Los Ajaches, in the southeast end of the island. From the eight beaches, nudism is more or less practiced in all but in the real Papagayo beach.

A Mexota

0
An incredibly photogenic beach. Golden sand, vertical cliffs, small islands, the typical asturian green landscape... All of this in a place far enough not to be overpopulated, but close enough to get there easily. Divided into several areas, even with dozens of sunbathers you will feel you are on your own. No doubt, this is one of my favourite beaches.

Chinguarime

More than a beach, it is heap of pebbles accumulated at the end of a valley. It is very difficult to come here, but if you manage to do, you will have a virgin beach almost enterely for you.

Playa del Medio

A beach with peebles, incredibly quiet, where nudism is the norm. Even if it is not very far, the narrow and winding road from Playa Santiago discourage people from using this beach. However, it is so different from the beaches in the town that it deserves a visit.

La Arena

Next beach at the east of Argaga, accesible only through it. It becomes isolated with high tide, and it is the perfect place to hide from the rest of the world. It retains in the caves at the end of the beach the hippy allure that was so important for Valle Gran Rey in the past.

Argaga

A beach with peebles, like most in La Gomera, may not be the most comfortable place for lying in the sun, but it is perfect if you are looking for a quiet place close to the town of Valle Gran Rey. Surprisingly, very few people here. You would only hear the stones moved by the waves. Of course, nudism is allowed.

Famara

0
Remote and undeveloped, yet easily accessible by car, those who love extreme sports or large empty beaches would say they are in paradise. Continuous intense wind and big waves make this beach ideal for surfing, windusurfing or kiteboarding. The rest of the people can partialy hide from  the wind (and the view) using the small stone walls to enjoy the sun and the incredible landscape.

Playa Pilar

It is just the kind of beach you expect in the Caribbean: white sand, blue water, palmtrees... Being the most famous beach in Cayo Coco (although in fact it is in the neighbour island, Cayo Guillermo), it is full of people, but only in the central part, where the bus stops and most beach bars are located. Out from that point, there is a deserted beach, very long on both directions, where you can forget about the huge all-included hotels just a few kilometers from there.

Playa Quemada

One of the things I like about Lanzarote is how well they have managed to restrict the tourist development to a few areas, while the rest of the island remains untouched. Anyway, it is hard to believe that there still exists a small fishing village with its traditional houses, without hotels, and just a pair of restaurants, next to a charming black sand beach, and only five kilometers away from the main road. That is Playa Quemada.

Playa del Ingles

This black sandy beach is one of the most famous beaches close to Valle Gran Rey, in the southwest of La Gomera. Very nice for sunbathing and enjoying its natural beauty, but not for swimming. It is popular both for nudists and textiles, which share the area. You will never forget sunsets here.
